Those who weren’t there missed out, I’m telling ya….

So last night was awesome!  We started off with the dancers and they were all great, although a little on the tearjerker side, but I’ll let that slide this time lol.  The bands were awesome.  I like a good rocking band, and Radio Parade sure filled that role.  They came on with their first song and watching the lead singer jump around and sing made me tired just watching him.  After their set came Strongarm Paperboy, which one of my good friends, Luke, was in.  I knew they hadn’t been together for very long, but this turned out to be their debut performance.  They were extremely talented and it showed in the way they played.

The Slater Sisters (who shockingly were merely cousins and not sisters!!!) in addition to being genuinely nice ladies, put on a great acoustic show and ended up selling out their entire stock of CD’s they brought to sell.  The Deluge also proved to be a very talented jam band with a trio of ultra talented musicians providing us with a vast display of musical ability.  Again, my thanks go out to everyone who made this possible and especially the performers who gave their time and energy for this event.

The only knock on last night wasn’t anything anyone could have controlled, and that was the weather.  Who would have guessed that mother nature would have picked this weekend to make up for all the rainfall we missed last year.  In all honesty, if there were 150 people there, I think the weather kept at least that many more home.  Next time, we’ll try to coordinate with the weather better.  I promise.

I was thinking of you that night and FELT that I was missing out! Then Bill called with all the details and I knew for sure! Sounded like a great time!

Now I know that, not only can you write, but, you can sing!!! What a talent you are! But, can you play the accordian? Can you yodel?

Risky theme. I think you’ve hurt someone’s feelings, but what’s for me - I like it. No matter what they say if your opinion is true.

I prefer reading this kind of information when I’m alone in the room, so no one would see an expression on my face. It’s disgusting! I don’t believe a single grose word about it!

what’s up with all these weird comments in the last couple of days? this one doesn’t even make sense…last i knew there wasn’t anything too “grose” about a benefit concert.

I like that you separate fate from destiny. There is something to be said for trying to account for the idea that we can sometimes fail to fulfill our destiny.
